The wine that came to the top this last week for the WW is a Chianti from Frescobaldi. Their 2007 Riserva Nipozzano Chianti Rufina is a nicely balanced easy drinking wine. Deep purple red color with a bit of a floral nose but with nice dark berry and fruit and a little rasberry. Nice soft finish with a hint of spice and a touch of vanilla coming through. Koala recons a 7 and ****. A great wine for a variety of meat dishes and red sauce pastas. Selected as this last week’s WW because it was just so enjoyable to drink but at around $25 still a reasonable price.
